By combining age-old traditions with modern technology, there can be a sensory and intuitive creative interaction between the craftsperson and the digitally controlled machine. This is in contrast to the typical perception of using a machine: you enter a design, press a button and wait. There is no sense of craftsmanship in that: it is mechanical. This Waag Open event, you can experience for yourself how, as the user of a machine, you can still be in touch with the craft process: prepare to hack existing tools like markers, brushes, stamps for a whole new making process with a traditional touch!
